Better search still needs judgement
Perplexity is particularly useful when you want a fast map of a topic and links to the sources behind an answer. That source-first feel is valuable, but citations do not automatically make every generated claim correct.

Five checks worth making
- Decide whether the task is public research or private document analysis. They carry very different information risk.
- Open the citations. A cited answer is only as useful as the source actually supporting the claim.
- Check the plan before uploading business material. Enterprise controls should not be assumed on a personal account.
- Remove unnecessary identifiers from files. Research rarely needs every customer name, email address or internal reference.
- Keep source verification separate from AI confidence. Fluent prose is not evidence.
